Label Summit India 2007: business made easy




Label Summit India 2007, superbly organised by Tarsus Group took place at Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi and registered a very good attendance on the two days including many of the most important label converters in the Indian market.

The table-top exhibition, in a nearby hall, has, as always, confirmed its networking potential. Converters and suppliers took the best advantage of their time at the Summit discussing of business in a relaxed atmosphere with incomparable and immediately measurable results.

On the first night, GIDUE sponsored a very nice and fancy Cocktail party in the hotel garden where all the participants in the Summit gathered and finally relaxed.

Federico d’Annunzio, President of GIDUE S.p.A., took part in an interesting panel session on the morning of the second day. The topics on the conference agenda were quite disregarded and the word was left to label converters. Questions about how press manufacturers intend to face price pressure in the Indian market were addressed. Everybody generally agreed that the choice at the base of the purchase of a new equipment must be based on the technology it features and the increase in productivity it ensures. And technological research is costly. “The best label converters buy the best presses”, comments d’Annunzio.

Panellists were given a minute at the end of the session to explain their vision and strategy: Federico d’Annunzio was very clear on the subject, “Adequate return on investment and profit for our customers, advanced technology, continuous search for innovation and suitable local assistance”.

GIDUE could rely on the support of Reifenhäuser India Ltd., its distributor in the region, who did a wonderful job of public relations in inviting all major customers and prospects to visit the Summit and discuss about GIDUE latest developments.

Since the beginning of the cooperation with Reifenhäuser India Ltd. brand new customers have entered the GIDUE family and new negotiations have come to their final stage.

GIDUE is establishing in India with simple and clear objectives. Explains d’Annunzio: “We focus on the packaging market, we see the growth of converters going into horizontal product ranges, we talk to the brand owners and we listen to their needs, and finally we come out with what we believe are the most adequate solutions for the market”.
