GIDUE presence in Australia and New Zealand

It all began in early 2005 when Mr. Roman Trzaskowski of Barom Nominees – GIDUE agent for Australia and New Zealand, after successful installation of first two presses in his market – approached Mr. Eddie Gulmen of Gulmen Engineering - a company specializing in servicing of printing machines – to join him and form GIDUE SALES (AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND) PTY LTD.

Right from the start Mr. Trzaskowski insisted that the agency must have a technical after sale service and training personnel in Australia in order to provide a support to the customers.

Mr. Gulmen had successfully completed a training course at GIDUE production facility at Turate and with his considerable skills is fully endorsed to service the presses.

Currently more people are being trained and spare parts delivered to Melbourne to provide the security of a prompt service.

Each of the two men brings a different skill to the new agency and together with GIDUE Area Manager Mr. Claudio Piredda form a closely knit team.

“Mr. Piredda is extremely professional; he supports the customers from the very first moments, helping them choosing the right configuration of the press according to their specific needs, and taking care of them till the press is installed. Of course having a good support from Claudio makes our job easier” explains Mr. Gulmen “we know he is always ready to reach us whenever we need his help: this is very important for us”.

“In the last 12 months we sold seven more presses, and some of our customers have placed an order for the second press soon after the installation of the first one. The operators like the very quick change-overs and the simplicity of operation. The press is ideal for the short run work and – at 150m/min for big jobs. The high print quality makes it an easy press to sell” says Mr. Trzaskowski. Customers include Label Makers who already bough two presses, and Mr. Labels in Australia, and two presses sold to Label & Litho, Newzealander converter.

Up to now the market in Australia and New Zealand has mostly been letterpress-oriented. The preference for new technologies and for machines that are simple to use, where everything is automated and the operator interferes less and less with the manual adjustments, is becoming the norm. The market is changing towards flexo and offset printing processes.

Sales and after sales service, including installation and training to support customers in their investments: these are the bases of GIDUE SALES (AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND) PTY LTD.

GIDUE SALES (AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND) PTY LTD will be present in next PrintEx 07 Exhibition taking place in Sidney, Australia from the 24th to the 26th May. Held in Sydney every four years since 1999, this exhibition is utilised as a platform for local and international industry suppliers to showcase existing and new products and services.
