Poligrafia 2007: the winner prints with GIDUE

Last edition of POLIGRAFIA 2007, that took recently place at the Poznan International Fair Ltd., saw the triumph of an Italian machine: this year the Gold Medal went to a GIDUE press. The on-booth E-Combat™ 370 8 colours recently sold to a Polish customer, Drukarnia Malysz, by the local representative of GIDUE Rotary Die Company, was judged to have the best technological solutions and top quality, among the products entered into the competition and presented at the fair.

Both visitors and the PIF Gold Medal Competition Committee could experience the quality, consistency, print stability and simplicity of the worldwide recognized Combat™ flexo productivity. During the exhibition, in fact, GIDUE E-Combat™ printed and produced shrink film sleeve for the Polish beverage market. The high quality of the end product simply translated what we can consider the most significant features of the printing head on the press: precision, reliability and simplicity in the use.

Since its introduction in the global market, in 2002, the “Full Servo” technology – basic aspect of the winning press - has changed many industry standards worldwide: the notorious flexibility of the Combat™ line offers the greatest opportunity to look at different and creative solutions. In particular, the totally servo-driven tension control, plus the two independent servo-drives on all print stations, on the print cylinder and on the impression roller, make the configuration of the E-Combat™ always “open” to any printable substrate. By selecting different tension areas inside the press, it is possible to produce, in addition to self adhesive labels, also in-mould, wrap-around, sleeves, booklet labels, yoghurt lids and film packaging among the others. Multi lamination and printing on adhesive PE film up to 4 colours is also possible. Furthermore, the press allows pre-register and register opportunities, which can be very useful in “standardized” working environments, where consistent repeatability independent from the operator is needed.

Congratulations to the Italian company, that, once again, emerged with all the ease it could: the award came from the Competition Committee as spontaneously as it is natural for GIDUE to design and include in its range only products characterized by solid applied technologies. The milestone of the company has always been represented by its search for constant innovation: the whole GIDUE team boasts not only a solid experience in the printing and converting world, but also a strong inclination to listen to the current needs of the industry. And results constantly give good reason for every effort.
