D'Annunzio appointed member of FINAT Board

On May 31st 2007, during the latest FINAT Congress in Berlin, Federico d’Annunzio was appointed as new member of the Finat board. The FINAT Board is responsible for the overall management of the Association, and of its medium-to long-term policy.

Federico d’Annunzio, 43 years old, President of GIDUE S.p.A., started to work in the narrow web industry in 1990 as a distributor for Italy of established international press manufacturers and was a pioneer of UV flexography in Europe. With a long recognized background in the printing and packaging industry he joined GIDUE in January 1999 where, thanks to his clear vision of the market and the implementation of a successful marketing strategy, he brought the company to become a global supplier of label printing and packaging presses.

Federico d’Annunzio joined FINAT in 2004 as member first of the Marketing Committee. He’s actually Chairman of the recently created Membership Recruitment Committee. This latter, composed of five Board members is committed to enlarging the FINAT member base and is going to implement a series of actions based on one-to-one communication, networking, and profitability of FINAT membership. The campaign, named “be a FINAT member”, will be developed in two years; its main target is to subscribe 100 new members before the end of 2008. “FINAT is the largest association in the label industry and offers incomparable occasions of education and networking with the most influent and experienced managers worldwide” says Federico d’Annunzio, “since I’ve joined FINAT I’ve learned so much. Any FINAT event, whether the Congress or a Committee meeting, is an encompassing occasion for growth, both in personal and professional terms”.

FINAT was founded in Paris in 1958 and moved in 1969 to its present headquarters in The Hague, The Netherlands. With approximately 470 members in 40 countries around the world, Finat has much to offer to label converters and all suppliers to the labelling industry in terms of information, exchange and the opportunity to network internationally.
