GIDUE presents the lightest print cylinders ever

GIDUE takes the occasion of Labelexpo Europe 2007 to introduce a new concept of print cylinder. Ultra-light print cylinders are the answer to the necessities of ease of operation and quick changeovers. GIDUE print cylinders, available in the repeats from 12” to 24”, weigh approximately from 8Kg to 12 Kg and are made of aluminium. Compared to a standard cylinder, weighing up to 20Kg, the ultra-light print cylinder provides savings of time – cylinders are easier to carry and to prepare – and a much simpler handling. The light print cylinders are available on all GIDUE Flower™ heads , widths 370 and 430 mm. “The light cylinders are a true response to the use of polyurethane sleeves or similar and nullify the weight factor,“ says Nicola Lezzerini, GIDUE’s R&D Project Manager, “The choice of a sleeve press in the narrow web industry is not anymore a question of cylinders weight but relies on the nature of the work. When sleeves are needed, i.g. when seamless printing is required, GIDUE is capable of providing the sleeve solution for Combat presses with a new mounting system.” Both systems will be on display at Labelexpo in GIDUE Stand 6H80-90.
