A general surprise, and a sales success for the MASTER Combat.

Nuova GIDUE made its “grand opening” in Florence, from the 12th to the 16th of April, with the friendly support of SMAG, Officine Meccaniche PRATI and FlexoWash.
A brand new flexo line, the MASTER Combat, was introduced for the first time, along with a redesigned XPANND Combination Offset Flexo press, a silk-screen printing machine GALAXIE from SMAG, a JUPITER Inspection machine from Officine Meccaniche PRATI, and the PK series of washing machines for the narrow web from FlexoWash.

The attendance to the so called “spring” open house was beyond expectations. Visitors came from Australia, Argentina, Singapore, USA, Russia, and from most of the Eastern and Western European countries. And the surprise for all the visitors was the technology advance from Nuova GIDUE. Customers and distributors expected some “normal” improvements and discovered instead a whole new world of perspectives for the industry. The new MASTER Combat has in fact hit the “heart” of the converters who could for the first time see most of the hidden dreams realized. Nearly eliminated set-up waste, superb print quality independent from the operator, a robust and simple to operate print unit. And the total flexibility of substrates. The “dream” press which everybody wishes in its plant.

Federico d’Annunzio, MD of Nuova GIDUE, comments: “ at the open-house we could finalize many sales which we had been preparing for the past months. We have nearly completed our budget of sales for 2010, and we are only in April ! I believe the quality of our distributors worldwide made the biggest part of it. But I also believe that the MASTER Combat is such an evident “breakthrough” in our industry that some sales came in just “forced” by the quality of the machine.”

Peter Tanner from Graficon AG, new distributor for german speaking countries, adds : “I expected some steps forward from the past GIDUE technology. The MASTER Combat is not only that. It is truly a new milestone in our industry.”
Guido Iannone, plant manager of Nuceria Adesivi in Italy comments: “we “blind” ordered the MASTER Combat some months ago because we trusted the GIDUE technology. But the machine we discovered surprised us completely. We are very proud to be the very first MASTER user in the market.”.  Eddie Gulmen, who distributes the GIDUE technology in Australia & NZ, completes the comments: “I made a 24 hour trip & it was well worth it, very happy with the new technology. We are back into our position of leadership with the latest press. I will immediately send pictures of the machine to my customers and invite them to see it. The MASTER Combat is a “must see” it really is a machine ready for business.

Nuova GIDUE has shown a 9 colours 430 Master Combat printing on unsupported BOPP and on a clear on clear PET a very “technical” label with a “simulated” high quality process job printed on the adhesive, plus a nice and completely opaque front printing. On the XPANND Offset combination press unsupported 38 microns BOPP film was printed with perfect register, and a very demanding “sheet-fed Offset” test form was printed. The job printed on the MASTER Combat was then slitted and inspected on the PRATI Jupiter inspection machine, provided of a BST SHARK 100% inspection system. And the GALAXIE silkscreen from SMAG gave the final added value to a very colourful and innovative label project developed by Nuova GIDUE with the cooperation of NuMaber, Grafica Panciroli, Bottcher, Kodak, Kurz, Flint.

The Open-house program was completed by a well attended seminar on the 15th of April in the GIDUE conference room, on the “digital work flow in pre-press” held by EskoArtwork and by Kodak.
